Home Cookin'


Pre-dinner Snacks. Stuffed Mushrooms v 2.0
Was good but needs work. I first cooked the mushroom tops in Bacon oil to get some color and flavor. The stuffing was a mix of onions, bacon, and pinenuts. The mushrooms were lined with a half leaf of basil, stuffing on top, parmesan cheese on top and broiled for crunch.

This is where it got weird because I didn't have the cheese I would have liked (like a Guyere). I used the remainder of the stuff added it to a Gorgonzola sauce.

Chopped basil, and more cheese? It wasn't bad at all. It was pretty good. Just a bit confusing. Too many competing flavors.
