IGDA SF returns at the Dolby Laboratories HQ. They have a really really nice building. Not as tiki but definitely nicer than the TFB offices. Actually I didn't get to see their work areas so we might still have them beat there but the entry and more public areas were all nice. The talk given was by Crystal Dynamics about how they are tackling organizational challenges in the "next-gen." They are using a shared technologies department to keep all their most talented engineers working together. Smart thing to do. The most challenging thing for the company still seemed to boil down to key people making the right decisions which is too bad.
