Madagascar 2
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that our game was announced. Unfortunately the trailer on the site has some pretty old footage that doesn't really represent our game nearly as much as I'd like it to (but I'm sure I'm a hard customer to please so would any trailer be good enough?) . For legal reasons, I won't mention anything specific. I will say that I think the trailer is more exciting than the trailer I posted below but that first-game trailer was more representative of the final product. The first trailer with its cheesy voice over that sounds like an office intern and one shot where you can see some halo-y background (those were the only minor things I could nitpick about those) is pretty exciting though.

Sunday Grace!
Visiting her old (and apparently haunted by a harmless but snoring ghost O__o) apartment.
Dim Sum
Me, Grace, her former Landlord Michael and son Larry.
I'm trying to get Grace to set up a flicker account so she can share the many pictures she takes. I've also trying to convince her to start a hydrant set (yes, she's the hydrant girl).
We met up with her friend Shawna at Nob Hill.
And went to Crepevine on Irving
And then Grace went on an epic booking shopping spree at the Green Apple on Clement.
And this was round 2 of buying more books at the Green Apple.
Dinner at Jang Soo BBQ where I last randomly ran into my cousin Scarlet.
This was like some super $37 casserole.
"Fighting" over food
Haemul Dolsot Bibimbap
Steamed(?) Kalbi Stew
Pancakes
And then to dessert at Golden Island Cafe on Noriega.
Mango Sago
Red Bean Pudding
Papaya and White Tree Ear
Pano
Me, Grace, and "Shawna" hehehe
Hooray, see you in October Grace!

Grace!
So most readers know Deda. Meet Grace who during the Academy days was the other half of this powerhouse art duo. Those two were hardly ever seen separated. Grace is briefly visiting from Singapore where she's the Department Director of Animation at a Government run University. Her DSLR kicks my photos ass handily. Okonomiyaki @ Mifune.
After meal drinks at the O Izakaya Lounge at the Kabuki Hotel.
Their wall paper.
More tomorrow!

San Francisco Contemporary Jewish Museum
Twas their Grand Opening. And twas FREE! Thus(ly), the line was long to get in but it moved rather quickly. Didn't take more than 5 minutes to get in.
Artsy Stair well. Except it's not a well.
Inside the Cube. They had a sound exhibit in here were music composed from various (Jewish?) artist (including Lou Reed) played. Each piece was inspired by a letter of the Hebrew Alephbet.
Cube from outside with gift shop at base. These are all the pics I took. I could take any inside the main gallery area and wasn't feeling up for ninja photography. Pretty cool. I spent the most time watching a documentary of sorts where a bunch of academics talked about how the book of Genesis not only fits but complements modern day science. I like the indirect dig at "Intelligent" Design. I think the best scientific point brought up is that if God made the world in 7 days, before he made the earth and sun, how did he ever measure one day? To that, a rabbi made this joke.
Man: God, how long is a 100 million years to you?
God: Ah, but a minute.
Man: God, how much is 100 million dollars to you?
God: Ah, but a penny.
Man: God, will you loan me a penny?
God: Of course! Just give me a minute...

Vinyl Apocalypse
Vinyl Apocalypse show at the Lower Haters Gallery on Haight St.
This was my favorite piece. A squid sculpture made from about 7 records done by Alex Smith. If I was some land baron with a big house I would have bought it at the drop of a hat but if I was some land baron I could think of many things I would also buy at the drop of a hat.
Ben (obviously from Detroit) organized this show. I think he did at least.
